Mission & Vision

Our vision is to spark joy in people playing and making games. As a progressive indie publisher, we empower diverse teams to make captivating games, and we deliver them to global player communities, in a way that is sustainable for everyone.

We’re not really into using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Rather, creativity and resourcefulness are key ingredients in our publishing cookbook. From producing to marketing our games, we always look to reach the utmost quality in efficient and novel ways.

Being truly sustainable requires a multilayered approach. We offer our team reasonable and flexible working hours, and support our developers with decent funding and revenue shares. We also aim to be climate neutral, when it comes to the production, promotion, and even playing of our games.

We believe that sharing knowledge, resources, and attention fosters personal and professional growth for everybody. That’s why our priority is to work with people who share our values, new voices and established teams alike. We also strive to engage players at every step of a game’s journey.

Our games

One of the first carefully curated games by Firesquid was the dice-based survival city builder Dice Legacy developed by DestinyBIT in Italy. We worked closely with the team to refine their concept and worked actively with the development of the game. In this roguelite survival city-builder, you will use dice to establish your medieval town, explore, gather resources and conquer the ringworld. Our engagement with the team ended with their acquisition by Amplifier Invest.

We are a Franco-Swedish Paris based progressive indie publisher. Our sister company Lightbulb Crew developed the critically acclaimed title Othercide across PC, XBOX1, PS4 and Switch consoles. The team working at Firesquid has the opportunity to work on both sides of the industry: as developers and as publishers. This said, we put our partners in the first place and aim to co-market, co-fund and publish innovative high quality projects with creative resourceful teams behind them. Our goal is to always stay fair towards our partners and honest towards our players, creating a strong sense of community in a global diverse setting.
